|
Büttenpapier ist auf Grund seiner Herstellung und imposanten Eigenschaften eine ganz außergewöhnliche Papierart. Die Bezeichnung bezieht sich auf den Herstellungsvorgang des Papiers, bei dem eine sogenannte Bütte eingesetzt wird, welche die eingeweichten Bestandteile für das Papier enthält. Diese werden aus ihr heraus geschöpft und der getrocknete Brei aus Fasern, welcher nochmals verdünnt wird, als Büttenpapier bezeichnet. Wasserzeichen entstehen durch eingearbeitete Drahtelemente.
